Did you borrow that from your Granddad?

The Granddad Jumper trend

Winter is officially upon us and that cold weather caught me surprise! It’s time to layer up and get out those wooly jumpers again! I’ve always been a fan of super chunky knitwear and every year without fail I find myself filling my wardrobe with new season knits. Well surprise surprise this year is no different and my jumper collection has already begun!

There is a lot of graphic knits coming in this year which is where this trend stems from. There is striped, patterned, characters and cartoon jumpers hitting the shops as we speak. I feel patterned knitwear is always a christmas thing but this year I’m going to be wearing these fun knits all through the winter months. You might not agree with me just yet but by christmas I bet you’ve bagged yourself your own granddad jumper!

This stripy knit is from new look and I absolutely love the colours! It is super warm and cosy and looks very autumnal. Of course I bought it in a large but it’s pretty oversized anyway. Wear with a mini skirt and boots or skinny jeans and trainers to oppose the oversized chunky knit.

I mean isn’t this just adorable! I literally fell in love with this jumper when I first saw it online a while back and then when I happened to walk past it in store I just had to buy it! I super cute and a great shape for me. I like my jumpers either long or cropped, that mid length just doesn’t do anything for me. I obviously bought this in a large too but its actually quite long anyway. I absolutely love it!
